Los equipos de Fórmula 1 tuvieron otra jornada de pruebas en el circuito de Jerez de la Frontera y la principal atracción fue el piloto Fernando Alonso.

Fernando Alonso se subió al coche de la temporada pasada del equipo Renault,  con el que consiguió ser campeón de Fórmula 1 por dos veces en 2005 y 2006 y con el que intentará olvidar un año demasiado malo y polémico en McLaren.

El primer contacto con la pista fue muy corto, ya que a poco de comenzar los entrenamientos uno de los McLaren se despistó y provocó la salida de la bandera roja. Luego, Fernando Alonso volvió a la pista y realizó buenos tiempos.

Fernando Alonso quedó sólo tres décimas por debajo de lo conseguido ayer por Kimi Raikkonen (1:19.846) y Alonso fue mucho más veloz que Nelsinho Piquet, el cual estuvo a más de dos segundos del mejor tiempo conseguido por Fernando Alonso.
